There are two places you may create and use a Kinzin account: Kinzin.com, and through Facebook.
For now, accounts can only be accessed from one place or the other (a release in the near future will make it possible to log in to either place to access your account). If you choose to install our Facebook application, you should use the Kinzin/Facebook Reviewer’s Guide.
Signing up and creating an account
For NON-Facebook users
On the Kinzin.com signup page you will see a form that looks like this:
For Facebook users
You can search for “Kids” in the Facebook application directory, or simply click the button below:
We hate big signup forms, too, so we wanted to make it as easy as possible to get started right away. You will be sent a confirmation email to ensure that you typed in your email address correctly, and to get that pesky problem of email messages getting caught in spam filters out of the way early.
Create your "space"
The next step is to create a name for your Kinzin “space”. This is the title that will appear at the top of your web pages, and in the notification messages you may send to your friends and family occasionally. Choose something descriptive, and not too long. When you have chosen the title your space will have, click on Continue.
Who are your kids?
Your kids’ profile pages are where a lot of the cool stuff happens in Kinzin. On this page you enter their names and birthdays. If you have more than one child you can click on the “Add another kid” link, until there are enough spaces for all of them. Your child’s birthday is optional on this form, but we encourage you to enter it. We show your child’s age on a few pages to make it convenient for friends and family (who are sometimes too embarrassed to ask), and it’s always nice to get a birthday card on the right day.
Keep in mind that you always control who can see this information in the Privacy Settings!
Kinzin helps close friends and families create virtual private social networks for connecting, communicating, and sharing. It is an online gathering place for families that is safe and secure.
